Litter RobotWe use the Litter Robot's in our Cattery which can only be purchased from Cat evolution. 1 cat will use 1kg of litter per week. Modkat Litter box
|
The Modkat litter box is also a great option for a 1 cat household we use these one's in our bathroom pictured here. They are also very reasonable to buy at $260 you don't need liners but you need to buy Clumping litter to use in these and would use 1-2kg of litter per cat per week.

Clumping Litter

Both the Modkat & The Litter Robot use the Clumping litter we do recommend buying a more expensive one that contains Carbon which helps contain the smell. You can buy directly online at Cat Evolution where you can purchase the Litter Robots. This litter also clumps into a tight ball and doesn't turn into slush like some cheap brands.

Water Fountains

We also Recommend that you invest in a quality water fountain and we have all our cattery set up with Fountains from Cat Evolution which will set you back about $80 but cats in the wild like to drink from running streams and therefore tend to drink more if you have a fountain. Your cat with live a longer life as his or her kidneys will function better drinking more water.

Comfy Bed, These are made by Kirsty's Kitty Kapers In SA on FB you can order one if you like or buy something similar in Petshock or pet barn but sometimes they don't even use a bed.

Carry Crate for PICKUP Day

Yay Pickup day is just around the corner & we need to have an easy to store crate to collect our kitten and a Crate that they still fit in when fully grow. This crate is Coolman's Favourite.
They are cheap fold down flat and are available in this size from Bunnings, Kmart and Pet stores, But Bunnings is really cheap and great quality. British also Love to be lifted out of the top of a crate not through the side doors THEY HATE IT. So if you're at the vets unzip the top and lift out and you have a happy chilled kitty that's not holding onto the cage as you pull them through the front door of the crate, stress less is always best. Cat Scratcher

A cat scratcher is an absolute must for your cats, They love to climb and sleep up high and use it to sharpen their claws and use this instead of your furniture.
I reccommend CAT TREE KING, They are amazing quality and a little more expensive but well with it, Our cats all have these and they are heavy and solid not even a child could pull this over. This one is a great size for kittens from when you get them and they fit neat in a corner even in a small hose or unit. Royal Canin & Advance

We start all our kittens on Royal Canin Mother & Babycat in the can (Pictured left) and as they progress in age 10 weeks plus I move them onto Advance Trays (pictured right), depending on the kittens what they like. Just ask me what your kitten is eating in the final weeks so you buy the right one.
Our adults love the Advance Trays in all flavours. Available at Petbarn, Pet stock or Petcircle. |

The kittens all love raw specially our Tabby's and we raise our kittens on raw diet as well as High quality dry foods Royal Canin & Advance.
See Picture of a Typical meal. We always add warm water to their meals so it adds extra water to their diet so they don't get constipated as kittens don't tend to drink much specially when first arriving. It also makes their meal small tasty. If you don't like raw and your kitten will eat Royal Canin Sachets Gravy is great try this instead of Raw. NEVER LEAVE RAW UNEATEN OUT IN WARM WEATHER for long periods, must be eaten almost immediately. |
