British Shorthair Colours !
British Shorthair cats come in all colours and we are very lucky to be one breeder that has pretty much them all, as they say
"A British shorthair cat is like a box of Chocolates, You cannot stop at one and you need one in every flavour "
Enjoy our cats all we have owned and bred at some stage and we love them all so much.

Black
|
Blacks come fully black with amber eyes and are so majestic looking and melt my heart, They do often have a slightly softer coat than the solid blue colour but still should have that which lush coat and lovely short thick tail.

Blue
|
Blue's are the traditional colour, they are the highest of Quality (so if you buy a blue from me they will be the best of my cats.) They are just far more established in their lines. Thickness of coat, Thick Plush tails, plush coats and pure shorthair all will come from me. My Blue's are the winners and are far my superior of my Cattery even though we breed all colours
My Blue's in particular I breed more the pale blue as it's correct for show and that's what we breed for, Show cats first Pets 2nd, Blue's come in a range from pale the darker blue but we have very few darker ones but do have a couple in our imports. Request one if this is your preference. Blue has the Amber eyes which can take 12 months to deepen. Pictured is Tootsie (SUPREME WINNING KITTEN) 8 Months |
Cinnamon
|
This colour is what makes me excited to breed, its a rich red when born and is like milk chocolate, They have amber eyes and you can get the shades of lighter and dark but mine seem to be quite even at this stage yet still only 5 years in for me. I have cinnamon in all my cats which is exciting.
Any breeder in Australia that has cinnamon there is only about 5 has either got it from me or imported the colour into Australia at a big expense, so its what we call a RARE COLOUR but we certainly will have more coming as we love this colour. Fawn
|
Fawn and Lilac, It's a colour I have trouble telling apart and even my lilacs if they carry cinnamon I can tell by the coat shade as it looks more fawn, interesting one this colour.
They have amber coloured eye also and can be described as Sand in coat colour a shade deeper than cream. Beautiful colour I must say. They have a Pink nose leather as do the Cinnamon. Fawn and Cinnamon come out of the same litter. Pictured BNZ DB GR CH Belantine Bohemian Rhapsody |
Lilac
|
Lilac, Mine are extremely nice, matching the blue quality and this is because Coolman is such a top Quality cat which he's been unbeaten for Number 1 Cat in Australia in Ancats for the last 3 years. His coat is sound and plush and full of cracking, he has amazing amber eyes which did take some time to develop.
A lovely pale brown grey colour as popular as The Blues. Pictured is Diamond DB Gr CH National GR CH Coolman Von Walder (Imp Germany) |
